  • RE : Unable to scroll output log

Yes, it seems to be a widget problem on Mac. we tried to fix this problem, but without success.

  • Unable to scroll output log

The output log window is unusable. It is always trying to reset the view, making scrolling impossible. A GTK widget issue?

The progress meter is also inaccurate, completing at less than 100% even though there were no errors. I don’t find this happening in the linux version of grsync.

    I’m using Mountain Lion.

  • rsync: -s: unknown option

    Dear Grsync team,

Thanks for creating this Grsync! Being a new Mac user (Snow Leopard 10.6.4., Intel Core 2 Duo), I was searching for exactly a rsync GUI to back-up files onto a FAT network drive connected to our router.

However, having downloaded and started first test, the synchronization quits directly both in simulation mode and run mode, complaing "rsync: -s: unknown option". (see copy of warning messages below).

On the other hand, I did not find any way to deselect the -s option within Grsync. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to upgrad my rsync version(currently 2.6.9 protocol version 29)?

    SIMULATION MODE

*** Launching RSYNC command (simulation mode):

    rsync -r -n -t -v —delete —modify-window=1 -s /Users/joma/Documents/...source.../ /Volumes/RouterDrive/..target.../

rsync: -s: unknown option rsync error: syntax or usage error (code 1) at /SourceCache/rsync/rsync-40/rsync/main.c(1333) [client=2.6.9] Rsync process exit status: 1

    RUN MODE

    *** Launching RSYNC command:

    rsync -r -t -v —delete —modify-window=1 -s /Users/joma/Documents/...source.../ /Volumes/RouterDrive/..target.../

rsync: -s: unknown option rsync error: syntax or usage error (code 1) at /SourceCache/rsync/rsync-40/rsync/main.c(1333) [client=2.6.9] Rsync process exit status: 1

      Hi

The quick workaround is to disable the "protect remote args" advanced option. But the best option remains to update your rsync to access to all the feature.

Thanks for your feedback on grsync

Downloaded and installed .92 on my imac today Mac OS X 10.6.1.

Functionally it works great; does exactly the job I want it to (copy from a NAS to a local drive). Trouble is it then hangs, hogging 60-80% of cpu and ignoring quit requests! Needs a force quit...

Very repeatable; every time I spin grsync up.

Is this something anyone else has seen?

I confirm this problem. However, only the GUI is not responding after the end of the rsync command, so everything should be transfered without any problems. The 100 % CPU problem occurs only when we close the transfert windows. I know that this is annoying, because we have to close grsync after each sync. More details here : http://opbyte.freeforums.org/macos-....

      Thanks for the bug report.
